About HCA

Highlands Christian AcademyHighlands Christian Academy is a ministry of Highlands Baptist Church and is operated as a Christian School that is consistent with the beliefs and practices of the church.

·         We believe the Bible to be the plenary, verbally inspired Word of God, the only infallible, authoritative rule of faith and practice.

·         We believe that there is on God, eternally existent in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

·         We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His vicarious atonement through His shed blood, His ascension to Heaven and personal, pre-millennial return.

·         We believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone and that all people are sinners in need of salvation.

·         We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, Who enables the believer to live a godly life.

Highlands Christian Academy operates with the academic success of the student as the primary goal.  This “philosophy of learning” is the core objective of our teaching staff.

·         The student is placed on a level of curriculum where he/she can best perform.

·         Reasonable and appropriate goals are set to be achieved in a reasonable period of time.

·    The student receives MOTIVATION through encouragement and support and achieves CONTROL through guidance and discipline in order to assimilate, use, and experience the educational material.

·         The students learning must be MEASURED, through testing and accountability.

·     The students academic success receives recognition and REWARDS for its efforts and significance.

Biblical principles, godly character, and activities help our students to interact productively in society.  We exist because of Highlands Baptist Church, and we operate in harmony with our church ministries.

The ultimate goal and purpose of Highlands Christian Academy is to lead boys and girls to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. To introduce and reinforce Biblical principles that will increase personal responsibility, character development, and positive citizenship.  It is our desire to work with parents in bringing the children up “in the nurture and admonition of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4), equipping them to live in a way to glorify God.
